Every Oakland neighborhood, one local crew
We cover all of Oakland, hills to waterfront, and we know the housing in each pocket because we've worked it since 2009. The city is a classic streetcar suburb with deep pre-1940 stock — that means original cast-iron and porcelain tubs up in the hills, and dense rental buildings full of fiberglass units down in the flats. The fixture in front of us tells us a lot about the neighborhood it's in.
Our covered ZIP codes are 94601, 94602, 94606, 94609, 94610, 94611, 94618 and 94619. If your address falls in or near those, we serve you. Below is how the work tends to break down across the city.

North & the hills
Rockridge, Temescal, Montclair, Piedmont Avenue & Crocker Highlands
This is heritage-tub country. The Craftsman bungalows and shingled homes of Rockridge (94618) and Temescal (94609) almost always have their original cast-iron tubs — heavy, deep, and worth keeping. The owners here usually don't want a modern acrylic replacement; they want the period tub brought back to bright white, which is exactly what an acid etch and a fresh acrylic-urethane topcoat deliver. Up in Montclair (94611) and around Piedmont Avenue and Crocker Highlands (94610, 94611), the homes are a step larger and we often pair a tub reglaze with the surround tile and a vanity in the same visit.
These bathrooms tend to be tight, original-footprint rooms, so our containment setup earns its keep — we keep the spray and solvent smell out of the rest of a home you've put real money into. It's also common up here to find a tub, a tiled surround, and a vintage sink all worth saving in the same room, which is exactly the kind of multi-fixture visit that lowers your per-fixture cost.
Around the lake
Grand Lake, Lakeshore, Adams Point & Glenview
The neighborhoods ringing Lake Merritt are where Oakland's housing shifts from single-family to dense rental. Grand Lake and Lakeshore (94610) have a mix of period flats with original porcelain fixtures and mid-century apartment buildings. Adams Point (94610) is wall-to-wall apartments, many built in the 1960s through 1980s with fiberglass tubs and shower stalls that have crazed and yellowed. Those scuff-sand and refinish well, and they're the bread and butter of our rental-turnover work. Glenview (94602), up the hill, runs to 1960s and 1970s homes — this is where we pull a lot of avocado and pink tile back to white.
East & the flats
Fruitvale, Laurel, Dimond, Maxwell Park, West Oakland & Jack London
Fruitvale (94601), Laurel (94602), Dimond and Maxwell Park (94619) carry a dense mix of bungalows and rental units, and the turnover here is steady — landlords call us between tenants to reset a tired tub and surround so a unit shows clean and lists fast. West Oakland, just west of our 94609 base, holds some of the oldest housing in the city, Victorians and early-1900s flats with cast-iron tubs that have survived a century and just need their finish renewed. The Jack London district near the water has newer loft conversions with fiberglass and acrylic fixtures. Whatever the material, we match the prep to it — see how that works on our process page.
Because we're based in central Oakland near the 94609 line, drive times across the city are short and we keep travel out of your quote. A job in Maxwell Park costs the same as one in Rockridge; we don't add a surcharge for the hills or the flats. That central position is also why we can fit same-week turnover work for managers juggling several Fruitvale or Laurel units at once.
Booking a visit anywhere in Oakland
Wherever you are in the city, the booking is the same. Call (510) 746-8748 with your neighborhood and what you're refinishing — tub, shower, sink, countertop or tile — and we'll give you a free quote, usually same-day. Most jobs are done in 3–5 hours and ready to use in 24–48 hours. For multi-unit buildings around Adams Point, Fruitvale or Grand Lake, ask about property manager bulk rates. See current pricing or start at the contact page.
If you're not sure your street falls inside our coverage, just ask — the ZIP list above covers the core of Oakland, but we regularly take jobs right at the edges where one neighborhood blends into the next. The fastest answer is a quick phone call with your address. We'll confirm coverage, give you a price, and put you on the schedule in the same conversation.
Oakland is the line we hold. We don't advertise across the Bay Area, but homes right on the border — the Berkeley side of the Rockridge–Temescal line, the Emeryville and Piedmont edges, and the Alameda end of the estuary — sit minutes from our College Avenue base, so it's worth a call if you're just outside the city limit. We'll tell you honestly whether your address is a fit.
